About Clarchy
Clarchy is an open-source side project that turns a requirements brief into a cloud architecture you can question, price and compare across AWS, Azure, Google Cloud and open source.
What it does
You describe a system in plain language: who uses it and how many, where they are, how much data it keeps and which rules apply. Clarchy turns that into an architecture: the services, how they connect, how changes reach production and the main workflows through it. It draws the same design for AWS, Azure, Google Cloud and open source, so you can compare them side by side, and every service links back to the sentence of your brief that called for it.
How it plans
Clarchy reads the brief before it designs anything: users, traffic, data, uptime, region, rules and the features asked for, each kept with the sentence it came from. Then it designs. The rule-based planner wires a standard design. An AI agent works through Clarchy's tools, and its design is accepted only once it passes a validator; quotes that don't appear in the brief are removed. Build and deploy and the mapping to every cloud are deterministic, the same for both.
What runs live on this site
The samples under the brief replay a run of the rule-based planner, recorded when the site was built, so they appear at once. A brief you type or upload, or a sample with a model chosen, is planned live in your browser: by the rule-based planner, or by an open-source model on Hugging Face or any OpenAI-compatible endpoint (such as Ollama on your machine), with your own access token. To plan with Claude, or to connect the agent to other MCP servers, run Clarchy on your own machine; the code and instructions are on GitHub.
Where the numbers come from
AWS and Azure prices come from each provider's own price API (the AWS Price List API and the Azure Retail Prices API), refreshed every day for each of the eight regions Clarchy offers. Google Cloud prices are compiled by hand from Google's pricing pages for one region (Iowa) and marked approximate, as are third-party services such as GitHub. Each estimate lists the sizing it assumes and uses list prices: your provider's calculator and your own discounts give the final number.
What happens to your brief
On clarchy.com the planner runs in your browser, so your brief and documents are not uploaded anywhere. If you choose an AI model, your brief goes from your browser straight to that model's provider, with your own access token. The privacy page has the details.
